About Bobby Jackson

• Established the Bobby Jackson Foundation in honor of his mother Sarah who passed away in January 2002 after a lengthy battle with breast cancer
• Hosting First Annual Athletes versus Cancer Celebrity Golf Invitational with Matt Barnes
• Serves as the local spokesman for the Sacramento affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in memory of his mother
• Attends the Sacramento Monarchs Breast Cancer Awareness Night each year, and hosts a pre-game reception where he speaks to survivors of the disease
• Commemorated the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina by joining 50 New Orleans Hornets employees, NBA Cares and KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit organization, to rebuild a playground at the Nelson UNO Charter School
• United with Chris Paul and donated 100 new bicycles to less fortunate children in the Oklahoma City and New Orleans areas during the 2006 holiday season
• Hosted a billiards tournament during the 2006-07 season in association with Hearts and Hands International World Vision to raise funds for Kenyan orphans
• Directs the Bobby Jackson Livingstone College Basketball Camp each summer in his hometown of Salisbury, N.C. and hosted a similar camp in each of his four seasons with the Kings
• One of the most active contributors in the Sacramento community during his first tour with the Kings, assisting in the club’s Reading Team

• Also represented the Kings Teacher Appreciation, Jr. Kings Club, and NBA Read to Achieve programs
